Dakota Fanning dons a long brunette wig as she starts filming on Effie in Greenwich in London on Tuesday afternoon (October 25). The 17-year-old stars as the title character in the movie about her doomed marriage to art critic John Ruskin (Greg Wise) in 1840’s London. Despite her beauty, Ruskin didn’t consummate the marriage and the devastated Effie eventually fell in love with Ruskin’s protégé, painter John Everett Milias (Tom Sturridge).
