‘Downton Abbey’ Star Headed To ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 2
LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- As Gwen, on PBS’ Emmy-award winning series “Downton Abbey,” Rose Leslie played a house maid with lofty ambitions, and she’ll be bringing a similar drive to “Game of Thrones” as Ygritte.
HBO confirmed to Access Hollywood the actress is set to play Ygritte, a wildling set to cross paths with Kit Harington’s Jon Snow.
SPOILER: Fans of the books know Jon will travel beyond the wall in Season 2, where he meets – and develops feelings for – the redheaded wildling.
