Low Dose Radon as Alternative Therapy for Chronic Illness

Radon Treatment as Alternative Health Care Radon "spas" are an accepted part of health care in some parts of the world. Gasteiner Heilstollen in Austria, Fuerstenzeche "Duke's Mine" in Germany, the Radium Palace in the Czech Republic, and the radon spa at Misasa, Japan are only a few of the many facilities worldwide where ill people can breath radon or soak in radioactive water for arthritis and other ailments. In the United States, most physicians believe that only conventional science-based care should be made available, and they do not consider radon inhalation to be based on science...... The personal physicians of most of the mine visitors either do not know about their patients' radon therapy, or do not approve of it. One woman described how her husband had suffered from painful osteoarthritis for years and needed knee replacement surgery. His knees were so much improved after a secret visit to the radon mines that he had mystified his doctor: And we were amazed...when he went to have surgery, the doctor couldn't figure out why [my husband] didn't have any pain. But we didn't tell [the doctor]... we didn't want to make him mad before he started cutting! [she laughs]. So we didn't tell him what we did. But [the doctor] always said that, several times, "You don't have any pain?" He couldn't figure that out. I guess now if we went back we would tell him what we did. One mine visitor had recommended the mines to his uncle, after having a positive experience with his own arthritis. The uncle also suffered from arthritis, was in a wheelchair, and was taking a lot of medication before trying radon treatment: When he came home from Montana, he didn't tell his doctor what he did... he just thought, leave well enough alone. So he went to the doctor, and the doctor said, "Well this treatment I've had you on is finally working, you've got half the arthritis you had before." And my uncle still didn't tell him that it was the radon that had helped him, but everytime he saw me he thanked me for telling him about it. Compared to conventional medical treatment, it is relatively inexpensive to use the mines. The major cost is often the trip itself, in that many people come from hundreds or even a thousand or more miles away. The trip can also be costly in the physical sense: some clients describe having to lay down in the back of a truck for a 1500 mile trip because they are too ill to sit up; or how painful sitting in a bus for two days was for their arthritic joints. However, clients not only hope to save money on medical bills by using radon; they also hope to reduce the amount of medication they take, and thus they seem to be willing to make the trip to Montana, however long and arduous it may be. Dozens of former and continuing clients have provided enthusiuastic testimonials about their improved state of health. For example, one woman told me the following story of her experience: I had bursitis in my shoulder at the I went [into the mine] and it was the craziest thing, about the third day, my whole arm hurt. And it was just like as if every day the pain got lower and lower and lower, and it was just like it went out my fingertips. It was really weird. And it didn't bother me anymore, I could comb my hair, I could use my a arm before that I had a hard time combing my hair, I had to bend over to comb my hair.

weight loss body functioning and genes

I'd like to point out that not all weight gain is the result of some disbalance or illness. A lot of people have genetic approach to big weight. In the past people often experienced the food shortage and people who had fat deposit in the body had more chances to survive. So they gave this ability to deposit fat to their descendants. And to change this pattern we havw to work with past lives. I am talking about the aspect there is no emotion or memories of past life involve. Only physical bodies and genes. And to help someone to lose weight we have to reprogram the genes not emotions or memories. Moreover I think that my sentence about past life had not been precise- I meant not hte lives of the soul but the real lives of our ancestors who passed their genes to our physical bodies. we tend to forgot about processes our bodies undergo during evolution and we quick to blame stress, emotions for overweight. But in fact our ancestors develop quiet the opposite process- the more stress the less food they consumed and the less stress the more food and more fat they gained. It helped them to survive the long periods of wars, moving to new place etc. Fat which bodies store in the good periods had been used in stressful periods. And this is a problem which sometimes we healers can face- when people get more relaxed and calm with Reiki or other methods they suddenly can start to gain weight not loose it. This will be the consequences of your evolutionarily mechanism of adaptation. And unfortunately there is no method how to use Reiki in this situation yet. Naresh as I said above it is not a disease it is defensive mechanism. WE have a lot of these protective mechanism- for example if the bacteria will enter the body the killer cells will attack it and kill it because it can destroy the body. the fat storage play the same role but against starvation. And genes do play the most important role in all body functions. about gym and weight lose- we can lose fat during exercise but muscle mass will be increasing and weight can go up, because fat has less weight than muscle. But again as I tried to explain before about the whole weight lose problem- it is very hard because it is not a disease- body tried to maintain the amount of fat it needs for the good functioning. here is another problem why fat is needed for the body functioning- fat cells produce a lot of chemicals such as hormones which body needs. For example estrogen- sometimes when woman start to get the estrogen from supplement it help to lose weight because body do not need so much fat anymore for estrogen production. What in generally I am talking about that we see only one side of the problem- we think that fat is bad nothing more. But it is not right and fat can be needed for life functions. The main problem here is that this is not the illness and do not require healing. This mechanism had been developed by our bodies to protect them and can't be healed. For example can Reiki change the color of the eyes? it can't because it is not a disease.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer' reboot hits a snag as script is rejected

It's been a little more than a year since Warner Bros. announced plans for a Joss Whedon-less "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" movie that would reboot the character and story. It looks like it will be at least a while longer before any such project gets a green light. Screenwriter Whit Anderson, who was hired to pen the new "Buffy" story, is now off the project, the L.A. Times' Hero Complex reports. The producers are looking for a new writer. Allow us to suggest an up-and-coming scribe we've heard good things about, name of Joss Whedon. Anderson's script contained "some great ideas," a source close to the project tells Hero Complex, "but in the end there just wasn't enough on the page."

Ohakune was our destination and was to serve as two locations within Middle Earth. One of these locations was up on Mount Ruapehu, which is the tallest mountain in the North Island and very sacred lands to the local Maori Iwi (tribes). They filmed quite a lot of the Mount Doom scenes in Lord of the Rings, such as Sam carrying Frodo up the cliffs, on other parts of the mountain, but this particular area was new ground for the production. That’s not to say that Ruapehu is Mt. Doom, which is a common misunderstanding amongst touring LOTR geeks.

MORE Downton Abbey Christmas Special Pictures

The flawless Lady Mary Crawley invites you in to see a shit ton of pictures for the Christmas special. We've gotten so many pictures that at this rate, I think we could put together a flip book and recreate the special right now. I love Matthew's ~jaunty pose. Violet looks awfully pleased with herself. I wonder what she's up to. That's got to be Matthew that she's looking at, right? AND THEY ARE ABOUT TO KISS, RIGHT? Anna is contemplating how unfortunate it is that her storyline has been completely wrapped up in Bates' drama. These bitches mean business. You'd better watch out, quail and water fowl and whatever else is out there! A quaint hunting lunch with a tablescape Sandra Lee would be proud of. Gazing into the distance = ~DRAMA~ LEAVE MARY ALONE! Cora is handing Carlisle a gift. I hope it's poison. Here! Have a picture of Rosamund! Mary and Matthew sitting next to each other at Bates's trial. How ~romantic. Mary is giving some impeccable bitch face. Earl Clueless is looking particularly clueless in this picture. Rosamund's maid doing... something. Trying to steal food off of Thomas's plate? idk Violet and Robert exchanging gifts. Neither of them looks particularly happy. Earl Clueless testifying on behalf of Bates. (apparently I failed at resizing and this picture is bigger than all the others, but I don't have time to fix it so... deal with it) Read more at ONTD:

15 Harry Potter Characters That Never Made The Movies

It’s almost exactly a decade since Harry Potter & Co arrived in cinemas for the first time in The Philosopher’s Stone, but since the first film the cast of characters in JK Rowling’s wizarding world has multiplied faster than the treasure in that Gringotts safe. Yet while the books grew as the series progressed, unfortunately the films still had to come in under the three hour mark (boo!) and more characters were given the chop as we reached the series’ climax. Here are fifteen characters who didn’t make it on to the screen. But have we missed your favourites? Read more at ONTD:

Have Revenge and Ringer made primetime serials hot again?

Every new television season comes with an unexpected development, but this fall’s big surprise is a true stunner: Powered by the strength of ABC’s “Revenge” and The CW’s “Ringer,” prime-time serials are enjoying a surge of renewed popularity. The healthy ratings for the premiere of ABC’s fanciful “Once Upon a Time,” the most unique (and most complex) serial to come along since “Lost,” further clarify the desires of many television viewers for the kinds of ongoing stories in which they want to invest. "Grimm": A sly, modern spin on the fairy tale

The new NBC series stylishly updates a classic form. ABC's "Once Upon a Time," not so much. Everybody knows the modern world lacks enchantment. As a premise, that assertion is unprovable, but movies and TV shows have been saying it forever, so we just accept it as a trope, like, "The suburbs are shallow" and "When the railroads came, the Wild West became civilized." Any program built around it is therefore better off not dwelling on it, and focusing its energies instead on other, more basic pleasures: characterization, plot, atmosphere. Two new network shows are built around fairy tales and the absence of magic in modern life -- ABC’s "Once Upon a Time," which debuted Sunday at 8 p.m. and repeats this Sunday at the same time; and NBC’s "Grimm," which debuts tonight at 9 p.m./8 Central. The first is officially one of the season’s only new hits, but I thought it was awful: poorly written and directed and woodenly acted, except for Scottish actor Robert Carlyle’s performance as Rumpelstiltskin); you can can check it out Sunday and see for yourself, but I wouldn’t recommend it, unless you’re the type of person who hears somebody say, "This milk is sour" and says, "Here, let me taste it." NBC’s "Grimm" is much better -- not a great show right out of the box, but much more confident and stylish, more sure of what it wants to say and how it wants to say it. Read more at ONTD:

Home Entertainment Group and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

Can stars be overweight and successful in appearance-obsessed Hollywood?

For a long time, the answer has been no. But lately, plus-sized performers are confounding the conventional wisdom and not only getting work, but landing starring roles and snagging awards. Melissa McCarthy of CBS' hit sitcom Mike & Molly is the prime example. McCarthy, 41, is fresh from an Emmy win for her work on the show, and two weeks ago she hosted Saturday Night Live to rave reviews. All of that is on top of a standout performance in summer blockbuster movie Bridesmaids.

'Once Upon a Time' stars give scoop on season ahead

Now that you’ve checked out the season premiere of ABC’s time-jumping fantasy effort, Once Upon A Time (from two of the masterminds behind Lost, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz), you’ve gotten a taste of what you’re in for. But you’ve far from learned all the secrets the show plans to unleash. When EW went to the Vancouver set earlier this month, we got to chat with the cast and executive producer Steve Pearlman about what viewers can expect from the coming pages of this tale. Here’s what we learned:

Bellwether Pictures proudly announces the completion of principal photography on MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING, a modern version of Shakespeare’s classic comedy adapted and directed by Joss Whedon (Marvel’s upcoming THE AVENGERS, “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog”). Filmed in just 12 days entirely on location in exotic Santa Monica, the film features a stellar cast of beloved (or soon to be beloved) actors – some of them veterans of Shakespearean theater, some completely new to the form. But all dedicated to the idea that this story bears retelling, that this dialogue is as fresh and intoxicating as any being written, and that the joy of working on a passion project surrounded by dear friends, admired colleagues and an atmosphere of unabashed rapture far outweighs their hilariously miniature paychecks.

Jason Dohring Previews His Ringer Run and Reflects Fondly on Veronica Mars When news of Jason Dohring’s casting on Ringer broke, the Internet veritably exploded with excitement. In fact, the actor tells us, his manager promptly forwarded him “pages and pages of support…. I couldn’t have asked for more.” In this Tuesday’s installment of The CW’s freshman thriller (airing at 9/8c), Dohring makes his debut as Mr. Carpenter, a teacher at the public school that Siobhan’s troubled stepdaughter, Juliet, is forced to attend. While the character may seem innocuous enough, there might be more to him than meets the eye.

Captain America: TFA Scribes Reassure the Sequel Occurs "Primarily" in Present-day!

When the 2011 summer movie schedule started to take shape, it initially looked like Captain America: The First Avenger might get lost in the shuffle. After all, it was slated to be the last of four superhero adaptations to hit screens. However, over $300 million worldwide and a great reception from critics and audiences alike, it's clear that the Sentinel of Liberty was more than able to stand out in the crowd.

Prologue is Attached to 'Mission: Impossible 4'

Oh this is awesome! SlashFilm is reporting, and we've confirmed with our own sources, that a 6-minute prologue for Chris Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises will be showing in front of IMAX prints of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol this December. If you recall, it's opening in IMAX a few days early starting December 16th. This is a repeat of Warner Bros' showing the opening bank robbery prologue from The Dark Knight in front of I Am Legend in IMAX in late 2007. We can expect this to be shot and shown in IMAX just like that, which sounds amazing, as that was one of the most thrilling parts about the early lead-up to TDK.

Simon Baker Talks MARGIN CALL, Occupy Wall Street, THE MENTALIST, and His Thoughts on DOCTOR STRANGE

Opening this weekend, in limited release, is writer/director J.C. Chandor’s Margin Call. Starring Kevin Spacey, Demi Moore, Paul Bettany, Zachary Quinto, Penn Badgley and Simon Baker, Margin Call is a very smart economic thriller that revolves around the key people at an investment bank during the 24-hour period before the 2008 financial crisis. As the film unfolds, we learn who knew what and when, and what lines people are willing to cross to stay ahead. While Hollywood often glamorizes or exaggerates real events, Margin Call makes you feel like a fly on the wall and it never feels forced. Definitely recommended. For more on the film, watch the trailer here.

Sony Pictures to Adapt ASSASSIN’S CREED

Sony Pictures is already hard at work trying to turn the popular video game series Uncharted into a movie (even though it kind of already is), and now they’ve cast their eye to another “Grab all the Walls” game. Variety reports that the studio is in final negotiations with game developer Ubisoft for the screen rights to Assassin’s Creed. The games center on an a secret order of assassins operating in past centuries (the first game is set in the 12th century, the next two games are in the 15th century), but are framed within a sci-fi context of being the memories of a hapless everyman* who’s at the center of a present-day secret war. The game features lots of parkour and trying to covertly pull off assassinations before you blow it and have to run the target down in the most attention-grabbing fashion possible. Ubisoft has set the terms of the deal to be a more active participant in the movie’s development rather than provide a one-off licensing agreement. Ubisoft chief Yves Guillemot says he also wants movies of Splinter Cell and Ghost Recon. Hit the jump to see a trailer for the first game and start your fan-casting in the comments section.

'In the Land of Blood and Honey' Trailer: Angelina Jolie, Oscar-Nominated Director? Probably not! But: the first trailer for Angelina Jolie's directorial debut 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' has snuck online, and it looks gorgeous? Tragic? Like the work of a budding master? Jolie's new film -- which doesn't feature the Oscar-winner onscreen -- focuses on the forbidden love between a Muslim woman and a Serbian soldier during the Bosnian war in the mid-'90s. That's controversial enough, but 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' was also dogged during production by rumors of rape being the source of their clandestine romance.

HBO's Game of Thrones Season 1 To Be Released March 20th On Blu-Ray/DVD

George R.R. Martin's fantasy novel, Game of Thrones was a critical and financial success for HBO. Full foreword for ‘Dear Me’ written by ‘Harry Potter’ author J.K. Rowling released

This is an extraordinary little book, based on a simple but wonderful idea: What would you say to yourself if you came face-to-face with the sixteen-year-old you? One of the many things that delighted and touched me as I read the letters that follow is the commonality of our human experience. Nearly everyone who wrote, whether their letter is jolly or poignant, seems to have looked back on their younger selves with compassion, remembering how vulnerable and dangerous an age sixteen is, for all the fun and freedom it is supposed to entail. And So It Begins, ‘The Descendants’ & ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ Lead Gotham Award Nominees

Well folks, the first batch of nominees this awards season have been revealed, with the Gotham Independent Film Award nominations landing this morning, giving an early peek at what will likely be some strong contenders down the line. Bear in mind, the Gotham Awards have little bearing on the eventual Oscar nods with only last year’s Best Feature winner “Winter’s Bone” factoring into the proceedings at the Kodak Theater. However, it does represent a good chunk of what you might see at the Independent Spirit Awards later in the year and if anything, these nominations confirm that Fox Searchlight is going to have another banner year on the statue circuit.

Downton Abbey Portrait of a Downton lady

Elizabeth McGovern is a very gracious lady. We all know this, of course, because, in Downton Abbey -- the TV costume drama that became such a sensation last year -- she plays the Countess of Grantham, wife, mother and chatelaine of a magnificent stately home, the eponymous abbey. In real life, the abbey is actually Highclere Castle near Newbury and Hugh Bonneville isn't Robert Crawley, the genial, loyal, rather wonderful Earl of Grantham, and Elizabeth McGovern isn't his American wife, Cora. But who cares about that? Read more:

The New Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows Trailer

Warner Bros. Pictures has revealed the new trailer (via iTunes Movie Trailers) for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows which you can watch using the player below! Hitting theaters on December 16, the Guy Ritchie-directed film stars Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Jared Harris, Eddie Marsan, Stephen Fry and Rachel McAdams. Sherlock Holmes (Downey Jr.) has always been the smartest man in the room... until now. There is a new criminal mastermind at large—Professor Moriarty (Harris)—and not only is he Holmes' intellectual equal, but his capacity for evil, coupled with a complete lack of conscience, may actually give him an advantage over the renowned detective. When the Crown Prince of Austria is found dead, the evidence, as construed by Inspector Lestrade (Marsan), points to suicide. But Sherlock Holmes deduces that the prince has been the victim of murder—a murder that is only one piece of a larger and much more portentous puzzle, designed by Professor Moriarty. The cunning Moriarty is always one step ahead of Holmes as he spins a web of death and destruction—all part of a greater plan that, if he succeeds, will change the course of history.

The Amulet of Samarkand: a Bartimaeus Graphic Novel by Jonathan Stroud and Andrew Donkin

How far would you go for revenge? After being humiliated by Simon Lovelace, twelve-year-old magician Nathaniel schemes to steal the Amulet of Samarkand from Lovelace's own home. In order to accomplish this task he calls upon the help of the powerful djinni called Bartimaeus. Only things quickly go wrong. The more I read graphic adaptations of books and other media, the more I realize that they're a lot like film adaptations. Like in movies, the author and illustrator need to strike a delicate balance. They need to be faithful to the source material, while making sure the adaptation fits its new format. One area where the Bartimaeus graphic novel succeeds is in faithfulness to the source material. Despite the fact that The Amulet of Samarkand was a rather thick novel most of it remains intact in this 144 page graphic novel. The writers did a very good job of distilling it down to its most important part. Unfortunately, such faithfulness almost ends up being this adaptation's undoing.

And which is best for its respective fandom? Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling was first out of the gate with Pottermore a few months ago (though technically it still hasn’t officially launched). The site is a place for fans to go to be sorted, read new content from Jo, and interact in limited ways with fellow Pottermore users. Next came Lionsgate with for The Hunger Games fans. The site allows you to be placed in a District and receive a District Identification Pass. You’re then encouraged to share the pass on your social media networks. Not much else is offered presently. Most recently was Summit’s Twilight Time Capsule which allows fans to upload photos, video, and text from a particular time in Twilight history. You can then scroll through all the user-submitted content in an interactive interface. While it looks nice, there are some modifications that should be made so it’s easier to browse the content.

CBS stayed on top among adults 18-49, although "Two and a Half Men" dropped again to numbers right in line with last season's performance. FOX's "Terra Nova" and "House" were also off a little from their performances two weeks ago (although up from last week's baseball-delayed start times), and "The Sing-Off" improved slightly for NBC.
